Definition and Causes of Shoulder Pain

The shoulder is a complex and versatile structure, which is comprised of bones held in place by muscles, tendons and ligaments. The majority of shoulder issues derive from the breakdown of soft tissues in the shoulder region. Whether it’s by manual labor or participating in sports, excessive use of the shoulder can quickly result in this type of breakdown as people get older.
